1. Mission Samriddh Gaon launched

• Ministry: Ministry of Rural Development
• Launched by: Shivraj Singh Chouhan
• Aim: Develop poverty-free and employment-rich villages.
• The pilot will begin in Budni (Sehore) and Khategaon (Dewas), Madhya Pradesh.
• It focuses on convergence of schemes related to agriculture, employment, health, education and rural infrastructure.

2. 11 airports approved for private operation

The Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC) has given in-principle approval for private operation of 11 airports in five bundles.

• Raipur
• Tirupati
• Tiruchirappalli
• Estimated investment: ₹8,622 crore
• Proposed concession period: 50 years.

3. DRDO missile technologies to Indian defence industry

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved transfer of technology of conventional missile systems developed by DRDO to eligible Indian defence manufacturers.

• Strengthen Aatmanirbhar Bharat in Defence.

5. UNDP–HUL partnership for plastic circular economy

UNDP India and Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) have expanded their partnership to strengthen plastic waste management.

• 50 cities/ULBs
• Support around 50,000 Safai Mitras
• Improve recycling and waste-management systems by 2028.

• Sharing of best practices.

7. Indigenous gas-turbine engines for UAVs

CSIR-NAL unveiled three indigenous micro/small gas-turbine engines:

• NJ-05 → 5 kg thrust
• NJ-50 → 50 kg thrust
• NJ-100 → 100 kg thrust

They are intended for defence UAVs and missile systems.

8. SEBI introduces IT Resilience Index

SEBI has introduced an IT Resilience Index (ITRI) Framework for Market Infrastructure Institutions.

It will assess the resilience of critical IT systems used by:

• Stock exchanges
• Depositories
• Clearing corporations.

9. Tata Capital–Japan's Resona Bank partnership

Tata Capital signed an MoU with Japan's Resona Bank to help Japanese companies explore financial solutions and business opportunities in India.

The agreement followed a US$20 million investment commitment by Resona Bank in Tata Capital Growth Fund III.

10. India's first indigenous non-GMO popcorn maize hybrid

• Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan launched India's first indigenous non-GMO high-expansion popcorn maize hybrid in Andhra Pradesh.
• It was developed through collaboration between: ICAR–Indian Institute of Maize Research (ICAR-IIMR) and Gourmet Popcornica.

12. Nepal flash floods remain a major regional concern

Severe flash floods in Nepal have triggered rescue and relief efforts, with concerns extending to India's Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Reports also indicate Indian nationals among those affected/missing.

• Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of around 30–40 km/h were also forecast.
