Summary:-

              The chapter, 'Maria Sharapova' is one of the parts of the chapter, ' Reach for the top' in which an inspirational struggle of a lady, who just at the age of 18, accomplished the top place in the field of women's tennis. She was born in Siberia in Russia but just at the age of nine years she had to leave for Florida in the United States to join the training institute of tennis. In this small age she had to face the separation from her mother. There she was the most junior candidate. So  she was  pressurized by the seniors to clean and tidy up the room. But instead of letting this humiliation frustrate her, she made these her potential and decided never to quit and begin to work even harder than before. Her rise started from the women's singles crown at Wimbledon in 2004. When was asked, she used to reply about her mantra for success that she was very competitive and worked hard. She had American accent but proudly announced herself as a Russian. Like others she also had some hobbies which included fashion, singing, dancing, reading and eating some different kinds of dishes. She says that her talent, unwavering desire to succeed and readiness to sacrifice lifted her to the top of the world. She also speaks that of course there are few who are jealous of her success but this is also correct that she had been a great motivation for those who pursue the sports and for her personally the most important thing is to become the number one in the world.
