A TIGER IN THE ZOO

                                                  By Leslie Norris

Summary:-

The poetry “A Tiger In The Zoo'' by Leslie Norris is about the difference between the natural existence of a tiger and the reality some of the tigers has to spend their lives on. The poet speaks about one situation where a tiger is inside a cage and moving from one corner to another. His stripes in his body and the paws can be seen very clearly. Watching the tiger, the poet thinks that he should have been in the forest hiding behind the long grass to attack a deer passing through that place. The poet also thinks that the tiger should have been terrorising the villagers, snarling around the houses. But unfortunately the tiger is in the prison and his unbelievable strength has been locked behind the concrete cell. His life has become completely unnatural where his work is to see usual things and to entertain the visitors by his huge structure.
