West Bengal cabinet approved a scheme for Brahmin priests
The West Bengal cabinet approved the 'Rajya Purohit Kalyan Prokolpo' scheme.
Under the scheme, a monthly allowance of rs. 1000 and free housing would be provided to about 8000 Sanatan Brahmin priests.
Another plan has been approved by the cabinet to form a development authority for converting Birsingha into an educational tourist hub.
Kerala Tourism won the PATA Grand Award
A campaign 'Human by Nature' internationally acclaimed by Kerala Tourism won the PATA Grand Award 2020 for marketing.
This award will give a stimulus to the tourism field in the State.
The award was announced in a virtual ceremony in Beijing.
ADB gave a loan for Urban Service Project in MP
The Asian Development Bank approved a loan of rs. 1988 crore for the construction of water supply, Integrated storm water and sewage management infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.
The loan will also be intended to scale up the scope of the State urban service improvement project in MP.
Bangladesh to finance a film on Pritilata Waddedar
The Bangladesh government is going to finance a film on the life of freedom fighter Pritilata Waddedar.
The name of the film will be 'Bhalobasha Pritilata'.
This film will be based on the first woman Bengali revolutionary nationalist of the Indian subcontinent against the British rule.
The story of this film will be based on a novel by Selina Hossain.
Forest Essentials partnered with RIL
The Forest Essentials partnered with Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL).
The Reliance industries will undertake the recycling of waste plastic packaging for forest Essentials products and will convert it into eco friendly materials.
Forest Essentials will set up a collection of products in their stores across the country.
JIMEX exercise Started between India and Japan
The fourth edition of Japan-India Maritime Exercise (JIMEX) has started from September 26, 2020 in the North Arabian Sea.
The exercise is performed between Indian Navy and Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF).
The 'JIMEX' series of exercises started in January 2012.
PM addressed the UN General Assembly
PM Modi addressed the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 26 2020.
The theme of 75th United Nations General Assembly was 'The future we want, the United Nations we need, reaffirming our collective commitment to multilateralism- Confronting the Covid - 19 through effective multilateral action'.
