Rajasthan CM approved 'Moksha Kalash Yojana-2020'

  • Rajasthan CM, Ashok Gehlot has approved a Rajasthan State Road Transport Cooperation's scheme 'Moksha Kalash Yojana-2020'.

  • Under this scheme, two members of a family will get free bus travel to immerse the ashes of their loved ones in the Ganga in Haridwar.

Kerala CM launched e-Challan system

  • The chief minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the e-Challan system to avoid the complaints against the traffic fines.

  • It has been introduced as a part of modernisation of traffic enforcement and Kerala Police.

  • This system works with the National Motor Vehicle Database at the national level.


Prithvi -2 missile has been tested successfully

  • India has successfully tested the Prithvi -2, the short range nuclear capable ballistic missile.

  • This is a single state, liquid fueled ballistic missile. It  has been developed by DRDO.

  • The testing was done from the Interim Test Range, Balasore off the coast of Odisha.

  • Its strike range is about 350 km and it is capable of carrying 500 kg to 1000 kg of warheads.


Major Ports Authorities Bill passed by Lok Sabha

  • The Major Port Authorities Bill, 2020 has been passed by Lok Sabha on September 23, 2020.

  • This Bill will work on regulation, operation and planning of major Ports in the country and to provide greater autonomy to these ports.

  • The Major Port Authorities Bill, 2020 seeks to replace the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963.


Government to raise the limit of using SDRF funds for COVID

  • Prime minister Narendra Modi announced that the limit of using the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for COVID related platforms has been increased from 35% to 50%.

  • Under this the health structures will be further strengthened in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, UP and Delhi.


17 year old Indian girl appointed as the UNEP Ambassador

  • A  girl from Surat has been appointed as Regional Ambassador for India by United Nations Environment Program ( UNEP) - Tunza Eco-Generation.

  • The name of the girl is Khushi Chindaliya. She is a 17 year old girl.

  • She will spread awareness about the safeguard of environmental treasures and will discuss the contribution of our country to environmental conservation.
