  • In the 72nd World Health Assembly ( WHA), in May 2019, 17 September was accepted as International Patient Safety day.

India holds 116th rank in Human capital index 


  • India has gotten 116th rank in the World Bank's annual Human Capital index 2020.


  • It includes the health and education data amongst 174 countries upto march 2020, covering 98% of the World's population.


  • India's rank in 2019 was 115 out of 157 countries.



Tata Groups got the contract for new Parliament Building


  • Tata Groups got the contract to build the new Parliament Building with a bid of Rs. 861.90 crore.


  • The new Parliament Building will be made in the same premises under the Central Vista redevelopment project of the Modi Government.


  • The Central Public Department had opened these bids on September 16 and Tata group won as the lowest financial bidder.



The Environment Ministerial meeting ( EMM ) was held in visual platform


  • The EMM meeting of G 20 countries was performed through the visual platform.


  • The EMM meeting was conducted under the presidency of Saudi Arabia on September 16.


  • In the EMM meeting the initiative to reduce Land Degradation and Coral Reef program was launched.



Harsimrat Kour resigned from Modi Cabinet


  • Harsimrat Kour Badal resigned from the Modi cabinet against the Agriculture Bill.


  • She belongs to the party Shiromani Akali Dal and was the Union minister in the Modi cabinet.




The AFMC hosted IMPACT 2020


  • The AFMC hosted the online conference cum workshop IMPACT 2020 for the Medical researchers from September 16-18, 2020.

  • This conference is organised by the Medical Journal Armed Forces India (MJAFI ).



The Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda Bill,  has been passed by the Parliament


  • The Rajya Sabha has passed the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda Bill, 2020.


  • The bill was already passed by Loksabha on March 19, 2020.


  • The Bill will establish the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda ( ITRA ) at Jamnagar, Gujrat.
