Amazon India to setup all - women delivery station

  • Amazon has set up an all women delivery station in Gujarat.

  • It is the second such kind of initiative in Kadi ( Gujarat ). The first all - women delivery station was set up in Chennai ( Tamilnadu ).

  • The delivery station will be completely managed and run by women across managerial and delivery associate roles.

  • Jeff Bezos is the CEO of Amazon.


Ayushman Khurrana will be the brand ambassador of SUV : Urban Cruiser

  • Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that Ayushman Khurrana will be  the  brand ambassador of SUV's new model Urban Cruiser.

  • Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor of Japan with Kirloskar group.


five PSUs will set up the centres of excellence in Andhra Pradesh

  • 5 Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), will set up centres of excellence (CoEs).

  • The 5 PSUs including  ITDC, NTPC, SAIL, BHEL have assured this.

  • Public Sector Undertakings are the companies, owned by the union government of India or one of the many state or territorial governments or both


Hindalco and Hindustan Copper signed a MoU

  • Hindalco industries and Hindustan Copper signed a MoU on regular purchase and sell of Copper concentrate produced by Hindustan Copper ltd.

  • 60% copper concentrate of Hindustan Copper will be used by Hindalco to produce refined copper.

  • The only producer of Copper concentrate in India is Hindustan Copper Limited.


Karnataka launched Arthika Spandana Scheme

  • Karnataka CM B.S. Yediyurappa has launched the Arthika Spandana scheme 2020 for disbursal of loans to the tune of Rs. 39,300 crores.

  • Under this, rs. 15,300 crore would be disbursed to the agriculture sector and rs.24,000 crore would be for the non-agriculture sector.


'Apna Ghar dreamz' scheme has been launched by ICICI Home Finance

  • A new loan scheme 'Apna Ghar Dreamz' has been launched by ICICI Home Finance.

  • The loan amount would be in the range of 2 lakhs to 50 lakhs for the skilled workers in the informal sector in Delhi.

  • The minimum balance in the account of the customer should be Rs. 1500 for a loan upto 5 lakhs and for more than 5 lakhs of loan, it should be Rs. 3000.


NITI Ayog partners with ISPP

  • NITI Ayog partners with Indian School of Public Policy ( ISPP ) for training, mentoring and capacity building of government officials as well as public policy scholars.

  • The DMEO of the NITI Ayog has signed a statement of intent with the ISPP for this.

  • DMEO : Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office.
