SUMMARY:

The story, “The Hundred dresses - 2” by El Bsor Ester is a continuation of the first part of this chapter where after the competition, in the next class, Miss Mason found a letter in which the notes written by Wanda’s father were mentioned. This was the information that Wanda was leaving the school so as to avoid the funs on her made by her classmates as there are lots of funny names in the big cities and would be a normal point to have an unusual name. Miss Mason was expecting that no one from there had made fun of Wanda. Listening to this news Maddie became so sad. She was thinking herself responsible for this and decided to stop the departure of Wanda. She, with Peggy, went to Boggins Heights to find the home of Wanda. But after reaching there, they found that no one was in the house and then they returned back. After returning, Maddie began to think of herself as a coward. She thought that if she had tried, she would have stopped fun on Wanda. She and Peggy started to write a letter to Wanda informing her that she had won the competition and sent it with adding the words “Please forward”. Days passed, but they didn’t get any reply. In the meantime Meddy decided that from now she would not tolerate any fun on any student in front of her and she would definitely oppose it if such activities occur. After a long time, it was christmas time when the whole class was decorated. The teacher showed one another a letter to the class which was written by Wanda. It was written there that her new teacher was not like Miss Mason. She further wrote that she wanted all her hundred dresses to be gifted to all the students and specially the green dress to Peggy and the blue one to Meddy. She told me that she was missing all of them. After listening to the letter Peggy and Maddie got relaxed mentally. They thought that Wanda was not angry at them at all. After taking their particular gifts back to their homes. Peggy and Maddie both found that the colours in dresses were so vivid and the faces of the drawings were just like both of them.
