International Translation day on September 30

  • The International Translation Day is celebrated on September 30, every year on the feast of St. Jerome.

Uttar Pradesh government will establish L2 level Covid Hospitals

  • For the better treatment of Covid Patients UP government has decided to establish L2 level Hospitals in each district of UP.

  • L2 level Hospitals are currently in six districts of the UP.

  • Along with this the Dastak Campaign will also be launched by the UP government from 1 - 15 October 2020 to complete the immunization schedule of children.


Madhya Pradesh hospitals will display its rates before COVID treatments

  • Prescribed rates of treatment will be provided to the patient and also his family now.

  • The rate of Covid treatment should not exceed  more than 40%  of the rates decided on February 29, 2020.


China Confirmed the case of Bubonic Plague

  • In China's Province, a confirmed case of Bubonic plague has been found after inner Mongolia recorded two deaths due to a deadly disease.

  • A 3-year old child has been confirmed to have this disease by the Local Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • The local authorities have asked the residents if they had contact with dead rats and shown fever like symptoms.


WHO is ready for 120 million rapid diagnostic test

  • WHO  and leading partners have agreed to a plan to provide 120 million rapid diagnostic tests for Coronavirus.

  • This programme is mainly two help countries with lower and middle income to make a base in a testing gap with richer countries.

  • These rapid tests will look for antigens or proteins found on the surface of Viruses.


ITBP chief got an additional charge of NSG DG

  • ITBP Director General S S Deswal got an additional charge of counter-terrorism force National Security Guard (NSG).

  • Its previous chief Anup Kumar Singh retired on 30 September, 2020.

  • This is the second time when S S Deswal has been directed to lead the NSG in an additional capacity.
