Indian Army built a memorial in Galwan Valley

  • Indian Army has honoured the soldiers who live at their lives in Galvan Valley Clash with Chinese army by building a memorial over there.

  • The clash between India and China had happened in North-eastern Ladakh on June 15, 2020.

  • For the diagnosis of Covid-19 infections, Reliance Life Sciences has developed an RT-PCR kit.

  • Reliance life Sciences' kit will give a diagnosis to covid 19 infection in just 2 hours.

  • The kit is named R-Green kit.


Apurva Chandra is appointed as new Labour Secretary

  • Apurva Chandra has become the new Labour Secretary of the Union Government.

  • Before working as a labour Secretary, he was working as Special Director General, Defence Acquisition, in the ministry of defence.


S.S. Kalpana Chawla spacecraft took off

  • A commercial spacecraft made for the International Space Station was launched on October 2, 2020.

  • The spacecraft has named S.S. Kalpana Chawla after the NASA astronaut Kalpana Chawla, the first woman that had entered space.

  • The Spacecraft was launched from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility.

Assam launched a portal for the Pensioners

  • Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched a portal to the Pensioners to dispose of their pension related claims.

  • The portal is an online pension submission and tracking system.

  • The pensioners can submit pension related papers and check their status of pensions online.


Pathashree Abhiyan was launched by Mamta Banerjee

  • West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee  announced a road repair scheme named 'Pathshree Abhiyan'.

  • Under this scheme, more than 7000 stretches  of roads comprising 12000 km across the state will be repaired and finished by January 2021.

  • The West Bengal government already allocated rs. 500 crore for this scheme.


Sabarmati Central Jail launched Radio Prison

  1. Sabarmati Central Jail (Ahamdabad) launched 'Radio Prison' on the occasion of the 151th birth  anniversary of Gandhiji.

  2. This will offer educational, legal and health related details to the prisons under the Jail premises.

  3. This initiative on Sabarmati Central Jail, inaugurated by Additional DGP (Prison) K.L.N. Rao.
